I will never scoff at the price of a pencil bag on etsy again.  I just spent 4 hours trying to make Piper one with matryoshka doll fabric and its not big enough to hold pencils.  I would have been divorced for this if we lived in the 50s.  I knew I should have bought the cute one from urban outfitters the other day.
